ADAFSA Approval

Operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), the National Food Safety Committee, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) — formerly known as the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) — plays a crucial role in ensuring food safety across the UAE.

Together, these entities implement and enforce stringent regulations and standards to maintain the highest levels of safety throughout the food supply chain. Their responsibilities include monitoring and inspecting food products, facilities, and entry ports, establishing accreditation and registration systems, operating rapid food alert mechanisms, and promoting public awareness about safe food handling and hygiene practices.
